Principle: Cold and heat therapy is recommended by doctor as complete treatment for minor injuries. Cold therapy decreases surface temperature of affected area and causes vein shrink, which spreads to adjacent areas helping to control swelling, reduce pain and relax tension. (Cold therapy is recommended for the first 48 hours after an injury). Heat therapy increases skin temperature and causes vein dilation.
